What kind of harp(s) do you perform on?
A Harp for Every Occasion - (Have Cart, Will Travel)
“Li’ili’i” (here & there,
small) - My beach harp is easily transportable to locations where there is no
back-up site; i.e. public parks and beaches. It is a maple Dusty Strings Allegro
26 celtic harp with legs (3.5 feet tall and 20 pounds). The tone is warm and
can be heard for an intimate party from 10 to 30 people. Li’ili’i
has gone to locations like; Diamond Head Beach Park, Ala Moana Beach Park, Kewalo
Basin and JW Marriott Ihilani’s Ocean Lawn.
"Harley" (named after the motorcycle) - My formal engagement and
outdoor harp is an Ebony Lyon & Healy Style 30 Concert Grand Pedal
Harp (6 feet tall and 80 pounds). Its appearance has clean,
masculine lines yet elegant with a warm tone.
"Elvis" - My indoor & recording studio harp is a Camac " Little Big Blue" Electro-Acoustic Semi-Grand Pedal harp ( 5 feet 9 inches and 57 pounds ). This instrument is suitable for large indoor settings for receptions.

I do perform for outdoor events. If inclement weather
prevails
(winds in 20 mph or more, passing showers, drizzle or rain),

Do you take special requests and how do I go about choosing
my song selection?
I do take special requests and if it is not already in my repertoire, I ask for
45 to 60 days before the event to find the song(s). If you are not
sure of what song but know
what genre you want, I can pick the songs out for you; i.e. Hawaiian & Contemporary
for the prelude & postlude and Classical for the ceremony. I take song selection
phone appointments 30 to 45 days before the event day or in-person at the Wedding
Cafe at the Manoa Marketplace.
